Whole House Audio and Video
 We work closely with the homeowner to design easy-to-use systems that manage and distribute music, video and lighting, anywhere that is desired.
User-friendly controls allow you:
- Play whole house music, or even different music in each area.
- Play a DVD for the kids in the family room while playing music or a different video in the backyard. This is an ideal setup for simply relaxing privately, or for entertaining.
We will work with your interior designer to craft your home theater either in a dedicated room or part of your family room.
Calibration
Depending on the furnishings, wall/floor covering and room layout, different sound frequencies can propagate at different levels in a room, potentially creating weak spots or peaks that have excessive loudness or softness.
Speaker placement, room size, and receiver settings can all contribute to, or work against, a well-balanced sound delivery if they are not properly adjusted to your home environment. A well calibrated room with moderate equipment can perform better than expensive equipment in a poorly designed room.
When you purchase a new TV, the color and other factory settings are calibrated to look their best in the highly-lighted store setting. This is referred to in the industry as "torch mode". Unfortunately, this mode will enhance all imperfections in the image once viewed in a typical home setting with lower lighting. Images may appear to have excessive greens, blues or other colors that are out of balance. A larger downside to this torch mode is that it may reduce the life span of your TV due to the excessive color brightness and other aspects of this "default" setting.
Having a calibrated, optimized image, custom-adjusted for the ambient light in the room, viewing angle and black/white/gray scale adjustments, will help to eliminate the artifacts in digital images and deliver smooth, natural colors, sharper images, and a nicer overall picture that is more pleasing to the eye. It will yield a viewing experience that is much more life-like in your own home environment.
